With significant increases in the student population at The University of Texas at San Antonio over the last several years, additional housing space was necessary to meet demands of students who want to share in the residence life experience.  The new Chaparral Village is located close to Chisholm Hall on the northwest side of the UTSA campus.

This new freshman residence facility houses 1,000 students, and was completed in fall of 2004.  This 350,000 SF apartment-style living unit offers private 2-bedroom and 4-bedroom suites with living rooms and kitchenette areas.  Neighborhood units include laundry facilities, study rooms, computer labs, and kitchen and living space.  A “City Center” has more room for large gatherings, classroom and study space.

Broaddus & Associates was retained by The University of Texas System Office of Facilities Planning and Construction to staff an onsite office with seasoned construction project management professionals to provide fulltime construction representation and administration services during the construction phase.
