Broaddus & Associates served as Overall Program Manager for University Health’s $838 million Women’s & Children’s Tower project in San Antonio. Completed in four phases while maintaining hospital operations, the program added 570,700 SF, more than 300 beds, advanced technologies, and the only Level I Trauma Center in South Texas. The project also included an Advanced Diagnostic Center with heart, vascular, and endoscopy suites within the existing Sky Tower.

The phased program included demolition and replacement of existing parking facilities, construction of the new tower and parking garage, and expansion of shell space. The Women’s & Children’s Tower features 179 beds, dedicated pediatric and OB/GYN emergency departments, a 24-bassinet nursery, three heart catheterization labs, and advanced heart, vascular, and endoscopy services. Additional build-out and podium expansion added 123 beds, two cath labs, and flexible space for future healthcare needs.
