Broaddus & Associates provided Construction Management-Agent services for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso’s 220,000-SF Medical Science Building II, a research facility featuring laboratories, lecture halls, classrooms, teaching spaces, and faculty and staff offices. The team joined at programming and guided the project through delivery, developing the conceptual estimate and master schedule, facilitating the project management plan and PDRI workshops, leading the project team, and conducting design reviews.

Broaddus worked closely with university leadership to prioritize essential program elements and develop add-alternates that provided flexibility to maximize the project scope within budget. This strategy enabled the addition of a third chiller and upgraded CAT 6A cabling through project savings. The team delivered more than $400,000 in documented value beyond $1.2 million in accepted value engineering savings, ultimately completing the project within budget.
