Tarleton State University - Memorial Stadium Master Plan and Programming

Broaddus Planning provided site master planning and facility programming of site and building space requirements for a proposed expansion of the existing football and track stadium on the west side of Tarleton State University’s campus in Stephenville, Texas.

The scope of work included investigation and recommendations for the program of space requirements, site planning, building organization and massing, description of building systems and materials to support cost estimating and inform decisions regarding subsequent design and construction.

The final plan included a phasing strategy that equipped the university with a plan to develop the stadium from a 7,500-seat stadium into an eventual 15,000-seat ‘bowled-in’ stadium with a modern press box, expanded facilities for student-athletes, guest suites, multiple seating options, increased points-of-sales for concessions, and substantial landscape improvements. While establishing the master budget for this project, our cost estimators sought economical solutions to fit within the limited budget for this project.
