Broaddus & Associates provided consulting services on this 75-acre cemetery with an ultimate capacity for up to 25,000 burial places. It features a covered open-air structure for committal services, a visitor’s center, a computer system for locating specific graves or interments, an assembly for special occasions and a memorial walkway for special occasions. The use of Broaddus & Associates’ web-based program, Owner InSite, assisted in expediting RFIs and submittals.

The new cemetery is the second of seven Texas State Veterans Cemeteries which serve as a lasting monument for veterans that have served our country. The new State Veterans Cemetery is, according to Congressman Ruben Hinojosa, “the result of a successful state and federal partnership…that will provide a lasting memorial to their service to this country.”
