Broaddus & Associates provided adjunct project management and specialized expertise for Texas Children’s Hospital’s 15-story, 408,000-SF Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute in Houston. The pioneering facility includes nine floors of research laboratories and a 40,000-SF vivarium, supporting multidisciplinary research focused on pediatric brain development and neurological diseases.

Given the constrained site and surrounding development within the Texas Medical Center, Broaddus coordinated extensively with neighboring properties and project stakeholders while keeping the design and construction teams aligned with the owner’s goals. Sustainable strategies including daylighting, recycled materials, and construction waste recycling helped the project achieve LEED Silver certification and a Silver Award from Building Design+Construction magazine.
