Haltom City | Fire Station #3
In 2020, the Haltom City Manager requested assistance with managing the Haltom City – Fire Station #3 project. The city was alarmed over the exterior design and had not been updated on the planned changes during value engineering of the Design Development Phase where most of the exterior wall systems changed from masonry to engineered metal panels.
The city contracted with Broaddus & Associates to rectify matters of design without increasing the budget over the contracted GMP. Broaddus & Associates assessed matters relative to the unrealized changes and verified that the design team had not communicated the changes.
Working with the CMAR and product manufacturers, we quickly verified solutions for changing finishes and directed the architect to detail a stucco & thin brick systems to be installed over the existing metal panels. Haltom City’s Fire Station #3 was completed on time and within the project budget. As a result of our efforts, Haltom City assigned three additional projects to Broaddus & Associates to manage.
