Manufacturing & Warehouse Facilities

City of Louisville | Winston Plywood & Veneer

Broaddus & Associates served on the project management team for Winston Plywood and Veneer’s new 300,000 SF, $100 million manufacturing plant in Louisville, Mississippi—the largest plywood plant in the United States. The facility was built following a devastating 2014 tornado that destroyed the company’s previous operations, caused widespread community damage, and claimed 10 lives. Supported by company investment and FEMA disaster recovery funding, the new plant became one of the most modern and efficient mills in North America, employing approximately 300 local residents and contributing significantly to Louisville’s ongoing recovery.

Broaddus & Associates represented the City of Louisville by coordinating project fund management and facilitating the complex application process for federal and state disaster recovery funds. The firm also led a forensic study that identified approximately $90 million in recoverable operating equipment, enabling its salvage, repair, and reuse. Following debris and equipment removal, Broaddus & Associates managed testing and evaluation of the remaining concrete foundation to determine its suitability for repair and incorporation into the new facility.
