City of El Paso | La Nube STEAM Discovery Center

Broaddus & Associates served as Project Manager for the City of El Paso’s La Nube STEAM Discovery Center, a 70,000 SF, $65 million children’s museum and science center completed in 2024. Located in El Paso’s Downtown Arts District, the facility features interactive exhibits, learning centers, sound and wind tunnels, and a 40-foot climbing wall. The project was funded through public and private contributions and a voter-approved Quality of Life Bond program, with the master plan shaped by community and educational input.

Broaddus provided project management through design and construction of both the facility and interior exhibits. The team delivered independent cost estimating, total project budgeting, PDRI, web-based project management, and scheduling services, with its schematic design estimate coming within $300,000 of the CMAR estimate. La Nube was recognized with an Engineering News-Record Texas & Louisiana Regional Award of Merit in the Cultural category.
