City of Buda | Bond Program Management Services

Broaddus & Associates was retained by the City of Buda to stabilize its $55 million bond program after budget and schedule expectations were not being met. The team quickly assessed the program, reviewed the contractor’s GMP and schedule, conducted a schedule optimization workshop, and performed constructability and value engineering reviews. This effort identified 84 discrepancies, 23 value-engineering opportunities, and $200,000 in excess contractor contingency that was returned to the City.

The program included a new Municipal Complex housing City Hall, the Public Library, and the Buda Economic Development Corporation, as well as a 14,420-SF Public Safety Building for the Buda Police Department with secure parking and community meeting space. Broaddus & Associates also provided periodic construction inspections to maintain quality and helped the City complete the projects on schedule while controlling the budget.
