Hospitality/Convention Centers
City of Baytown | Hotel & Convention Center
The City of Baytown engaged Broaddus & Associates as owner’s representative for the development of a 7-story, 208-room hotel and convention center funded through a public-private partnership (P3). The approximately 160,000-SF facility includes 33,600 SF of meeting and conference space, a 12,000-SF ballroom, restaurant and bar, public amenities, and supporting functions. The project also included site improvements and reconfiguration of an existing parking lot to provide approximately 450 spaces. Designed to meet LEED Silver standards, the project utilized private capital to finance the hotel and support development, construction, furnishing, and equipping of the conference center.
Broaddus & Associates provided owner’s representation during the planning and design phases, ensuring the project scope and schedule were properly developed and aligned with the City’s objectives. The firm supported coordination among the City, private development team, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful implementation of the P3 delivery model.
