First Responder Facilities

Bastrop County | Fire Station #4

Broaddus & Associates served as Owner’s Representative to the Tarrant County Commissioners Court for a new jail facility and renovation of the existing corrections center in Fort Worth. The new facility provides 444 maximum-security beds, medical and special management units, kitchen and food service facilities, staff areas, video visitation, and secure evidence storage. A sky bridge and tunnel connect the new facility to the existing corrections center, while the classical façade complements the surrounding architecture.

Broaddus & Associates managed the architect and construction manager and re-evaluated the project’s needs assessment and programming. Using best practices, including PDRI and value engineering, the team maintained the full project scope while delivering the facility $5.9 million under budget, on time, and with zero deficiencies. Broaddus & Associates also supported sustainability documentation that resulted in LEED Gold certification.
