ATHLETIC FACILITIES, DISASTER RECOVERY
Amory School District | High School Track & Football Field
Broaddus & Associates served as the owner’s representative for Amory School District following an EF3 tornado that severely damaged district facilities in March 2023. The team supported recovery efforts by coordinating temporary classrooms, offices, and athletic spaces, allowing the district to maintain operations while permanent repairs and replacements progressed. Broaddus also managed disaster recovery resources and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, including FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation programs, while coordinating insurance and government funding.
As part of the recovery program, Broaddus Construction partnered with Hellas Construction, Pryor Morrow Architects, and Amory School District on the replacement of the football field and track. The project included concrete flatwork, fencing, Musco lighting, a Daktronics scoreboard, flag installation, Matrix Helix turf with cooling infill, a Cushdrain shock pad system, and EpiqTracks Q3000 rubberized running track surfacing. The facility was scheduled for completion on August 31, 2024.
