Access Family Health Services | Medical Care Center
Broaddus & Associates served as project manager for the new Access Family Health Services facility in Smithville, Mississippi, replacing a medical center destroyed by a 2011 tornado. The 12,000-SF facility, built on donated land, includes nine exam rooms, a trauma treatment room with ambulance access, X-ray services, an internal pharmacy, and a storm safe room. The facility also serves as the local VA clinic, expanding access to care for area veterans.
Broaddus coordinated funding and approvals while managing design and construction, including architect and contractor selection. The team focused on quality, schedule, and cost control, delivering the facility on time and under budget. The facility was dedicated on July 1, 2014, with partial funding provided through a Health Resources and Services Administration grant.
