City of Fort Worth | Convention Center Expansion

The City of Fort Worth selected Broaddus & Associates and Elements of Architecture to provide Programming and Project Management services in connection with the expansion of the City of Fort Worth Convention Center. 

Key scope – Phase 1 includes the addition of a 35,000-SF Kitchen and support space as well as the removal of the annex building, loading docks, and straightening of commerce street. Phase 2 will include the removal of the existing arena, constructing new exhibit space, meeting rooms, and an iconic north end to compliant the historic courthouse.

The Broaddus & Associates team meets weekly with city staff, Public Events Director, and executive stakeholders to provide status update of the project. During these meetings the overall project budget, schedule, program/design, and procurement process are reviewed and discussed to ensure the city’s goals are successfully achieved.

• Relocated all city utilities. Water, Sanitary, and Storm.
• Relocated all major franchise utilities. Gas, Electrical and Telecommunication lines.
• Realigned approximately 1,200 ft of Commerce Street back to the original location.
