Broaddus & Associates served as project manager and Owner’s Representative for the $76 million, 155,000 SF New Braunfels jail, designed to house approximately 600 inmates. The facility includes a 16-bed infirmary, booking and holding areas, detention administration, support spaces, and visitation areas. The team provided full-time, on-site management and reprogrammed the jail and sheriff’s office based on a comprehensive needs assessment.

Broaddus & Associates also delivered significant cost savings through innovative planning and design, including nearly $1 million saved through a Tella Firma foundation system. Proactive programming verification helped reduce construction costs by more than $60/SF compared to similar regional jail projects while streamlining the design process and supporting a high-quality, cost-effective facility.
