Broaddus & Associates Provides Facilities Safety Audit and Critical Incident Response Training to Mississippi School District
Apr 12, 2017
Broaddus & Associates recently conducted a facility security assessment and training session for the Tupelo Public School District (TPSD) in Tupelo, Mississippi.  The district supports 11 schools serving over 8,000 students, and is the 4th largest employer in the Tupelo/Lee County area.  Broaddus & Associates spent a week with educators and security representatives of the school district, observing its security operations and helping perform a safety and security audit.  The firm then facilitated a day-long course for members of the schools' crisis management teams and members of TPSD's department of security.

Jeff Broaddus, a former Marine and Special Agent of the United States Secret Service, is currently a Senior Associate at Broaddus & Associates, and worked with representatives from each of TPSD's schools.  The engagement focused on both the preparedness of district facilities and best practices for decision-making in emergency situations.  As a follow up to the session, Broaddus will present a report to the district outlining recommendations for district awareness and future training policy.
