Officials with University Medical Center of El Paso cut the ribbon on the largest clinic in the hospital’s history at 1521 Joe Battle on Friday, serving the city’s Far Eastside.
The 43,000-square-foot facility offers 50 exam rooms, a retail pharmacy, a laboratory and diagnostic imaging services including X-ray, ultrasound and MRI. It provides primary care, pediatrics, women’s health and other specialty services.
The first patient to be seen at the clinic was County Commissioner Carlos Leon, who scheduled an appointment in advance. Ground was broken on the $22-million clinic in October 2015.
