Mar 12, 2016

The Tarrant County Commissioners Court was honored at the Trailblazer Awards by Downtown Fort Worth Inc. (DFWI) at their 34th annual meeting on March 8th.  The "Preservation, Adaptive Reuse and Sustainability" Award recognized the restoration of the Tarrant County Courthouse and the opening of the new $74 million Vandergriff Civil Courts Building.

Broaddus & Associates served on the project management team for the 232,000 square-foot, LEED-certified courthouse that opened last year, and was honored to be acknowledged at the ceremony.  DFWI, a civic organization dedicated to improving downtown Ft. Worth through programs and partnerships, has annually bestowed the award since 2007 to highlight projects and individuals that make significant contributions to the local community.  Broaddus & Associates also served on the project management team for Tarrant County's Evans Corrections Center and Medical Examiner's Office, both of which were completed in 2012.
